Springfield, IL – [11/14/24] – The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes are excited to announce the hiring of Casey Fair as the team’s new Field Manager. Fair, who has served as the pitching coach for Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) for the past several years, will take over managerial duties for the Lucky Horseshoes for the 2025 season.

His passion for the game and dedication to building a winning culture make him the perfect fit to lead our young men moving forward.”

Fair, a former standout pitcher with extensive coaching experience, has been instrumental in developing pitchers at SWIC, helping the program achieve a reputation for producing top-tier talent. His expertise in player development, game strategy, and fostering team chemistry will be invaluable as he transitions to managing a collegiate summer league team like the Lucky Horseshoes.

Fair’s hiring marks a new chapter for the Lucky Horseshoes as the team looks to continue its success in the highly competitive Prospect League. His experience working with collegiate athletes and his reputation for developing young talent will be key as the team looks to contend for championships in the coming seasons.
