Baseball Legend Ozzie Smith to Deliver Keynote Address
Springfield, IL – September 11, 2025 – The Friends of Robin Roberts Stadium Foundation is proud to announce its upcoming Dinner for the Diamond fundraising event, set for Thursday, May 21, 2026, at historic Robin Roberts Stadium. This special evening will celebrate community, baseball, and the preservation of one of Springfield’s most cherished landmarks.
The hihlight of the evening will be a keynote address from St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, whose career and impact on the game of baseball have inspired generations of fans. Known as “The Wizard,” Smith’s presence will make the event a truly unforgettable experience for attendees.

- General Admission (GA): $115.
- VIP Admission: $195 Includes dinner, event entry, plus an exclusive meet-and-greet opportunity with Ozzie Smith.
Proceeds from Dinner for the Diamond will directly support the Friends of Robin Roberts Stadium Foundation’s mission to preserve, maintain, and enhance the stadium for future generations of athletes, fans, and the Springfield community.
