It was announced on Wednesday that Lucky Horseshoes Chief Storyteller Jamie Toole was named the 2023 Prospect League Executive of the year.

Toole and the ‘Shoes have had a large impact on the league since their entry in 2021. In addition to his role on the Board of Directors, Toole serves as the Prospect League’s Vice President.

“We’re really building something special here in Springfield, and we appreciate our peers in the Prospect League for acknowledging that ,” said Toole. “This is a team award, not an individual award. We could not have accomplished what we have thus far if it weren’t for our full-time staff (Melissa, Andrew, & Claire), rookies, seasonal workers, players, season ticket holders, partners, host families, and especially our Springfield community.”

This past season, the Lucky Horseshoes finished fourth in total home attendance and led the entire 18-team Prospect League with an increase of over 10,000 fans compared to 2021. The ‘Shoes also reached the Conference Championship series for the first time in the team’s 14-year history.

You can see the Lucky Horseshoes next summer at Robin Roberts Stadium! Stay tuned to the ‘Shoes social media accounts (@ShoesBaseball) for details regarding the 2024 Prospect League Schedule that should be released soon!
