The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes announce that manager Zach George will not return to Springfield and will pursue other opportunities near his hometown. 

George led the Lucky Horseshoes to a playoff appearance in each of his two seasons at the helm, including a Wabash River Division Championship in 2023.

The ‘Shoes appreciate and thank George for his impact and contributions to the team and community.

On the departing manager, ‘Shoes Chief Storyteller Jamie Toole remarked, “Zach has been a tremendous asset to the ‘Shoes organization over the past two seasons and we wish him the very best in all that he does moving forward.”

Toole added, “We will begin a national search to identify the next field manager of the ‘Shoes as we prepare for the 2024 championship season”

The search for a new manager for the 2024 Prospect League Season will commence immediately and interested candidates are encouraged to apply here.
