St .Louis Cardinals Legends Brian Jordan and Tom Herr have been announced as the first two participants in the Legends Classic III!

Jordan will be making his second appearance after participating in the 2022 loss to the Chicago Cubs. The former first round pick appeared in over 600 games for the St Louis Cardinals including an eighth place MVP finish in 1996. The National League All-Star played 15 total seasons in the MLB and also played three seasons in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons after being drafted by the Buffalo Bills.

Herr spent 10 of his 13 seasons in the Majors with the St. Louis Cardinals, winning a World Series Championship in 1982. The former All-Star finished as high as fifth in the NL MVP Voting and recorded over 1000 hits with the Cardinals. The Legends Classic III wont be Herr’s first visit to Springfield as the infielder played over 150 games with the Triple-A Springfield Redbirds that played its games at Robin Roberts Stadium.
