The next inning, Alex Wade sent one over the right-field fence to put the ‘Shoes on top 5-2. Nathaniel Martinez and Cooper Combs would both reach base two times throughout the game and five ‘Shoes recorded an RBI.

On the bump, Sherman native Connor Cater tossed 4.2 innings and only gave up two runs, he then left the fate of the game in the hands of Corbin Bassham who pitched 1.1 innings. Springfield native Richie Snider closed out the game throwing 3 scoreless innings in the victory.

The ‘Shoes will travel to Cape Girardeau to take on the Cape Catfish at 6:35 on Friday.
