The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes are excited to announce 2016 World Series Champion and nine year MLB veteran pitcher Justin Grimm will be representing the Cubs in the Legends Classic III this May.

Grimm joins Darwin Barney & Carlos Marmol on the Cubs’ squad for the Legends Classic III as they compete against Brian Jordan, Tom Herr, and the rest of the Cardinals’ squad in this exhibition baseball game.

Grimm, who made his MLB debut in 2012, was traded to Chicago during the 2013 season and would go on to spend five seasons in Chicago’s North Side. He played a key role during the Cubs’ 2016 World Series Championship making an appearance in six games throughout the postseason including three games in the Fall Classic.

The former fifth round draft pick made 263 appearances out of the bullpen in a Cubs uniform which was highlighted by his performance in 2015 when Grimm posted a 1.99 ERA and 12.1 K/9 in nearly 50 innings.

In addition to the Cubs, Grimm spent time with the Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, Oakland A’s, Seattle Mariners, and Milwaukee Brewers from 2012 through 2022.

The Legends Classic III will take place on Saturday, May 25th at Robin Roberts Stadium. Tickets and VIP Meet & Greet Experiences that grant access to all the legends in attendance are on sale now at Tickets.ShoesBaseball.Com.
